GOUROCK PRIMARY SCHOOL

Date Published:

Last Friday, Colin Chapman and Alan Brown from our distribution team visited Gourock Primary School after receiving a letter from Sophie K asking what SPAR Scotland is doing to reduce plastic waste.

Colin and Alan held a Q and A with the p5/6 class, answering many interesting and insightful questions from the pupils who are learning all about the importance of taking care of their environment.

The pupils were delighted to learn that none of our plastic ends up in landfill and we are actively working to significantly reduce our use of plastic within the next 5 years.

After the Q and A water bottles were handed out to the class in order to eliminate the need for single use plastic bottles, as well as special goodie bags to those who asked questions.

We’d like to thank Sophie K for inviting us to Gourock Primary School and p5/6 for being so interactive and giving us pointers on how they think SPAR Scotland should best look after the environment.
