NEW SPAR ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN BURSTS ONTO SCOTTISH TV SCREENS

SPAR Scotland is launching an exciting new advertising campaign, aimed at surprising shoppers with fantastic deals on key food and drink products available in SPAR stores the length and breadth of Scotland.

In a series of TV ads being aired exclusively on STV, the new media campaign from SPAR Scotland focuses on six headline products including Goodfella’s, Irn Bru, Budweiser, Tennent’s, Tanqueray and Golden Wonder.

The first burst of activity will feature six products being advertised on STV with 2 x 20-second adverts on 26 January at a variety of times including Wednesday 29th January at 19.28 after Emmerdale and before Coronation Street!  The adverts will every day on the broadcast channel until 15 February 2020. The adverts will reach 1,588,080 adults on average 3.8 times across Scotland.

The convenience store group is looking to attract new customers to SPAR stores with great prices in addition to many other fantastic products available at everyday great prices.

SPAR Scotland has strengthened its brand collateral to increase shopper engagement. Products advertised on TV will be given strong visibility in prominent locations across all SPAR stores in Scotland complementing the increased level of value-lead promotions available in stores.

McLean added: “We firmly believe our new advertising will drive sales through extra footfall and an increase in basket spend. The TV adverts have been created with a view to improve consumer perception of SPAR. By focusing on these six headline products, our SPAR stores are offering shoppers credible options.”
