SPAR Rosevale owned and operated by CJ Lang and Son Limited has recently donated a generous £1000 to the South of Scotland Wildlife Hospital.

The money was raised through the sale of single use carrier bags, which cost customers 5p per bag.

The hospital is based on the grounds of the SRUC barony campus in Dumfries.  They are a small organisation and therefore they rely on charity donations to help maintain the hospital and facilities for the animals. Their aims are to rescue, rehabilitate and release all native wildlife back to their natural environment.

A representative from the South of Scotland Wildlife Hospital said “Thank you for the donation it is greatly appreciated. The money donated will be used to update and maintain new enclosures for the sick animals”

Laura Locke, Store Manager at Spar Rosevale said “I am so pleased that the sale of our carrier bags is able to help this charity help our wildlife survive and get treatment if required”
