SPAR SCOTLAND DONATES £1000 TO HELP MARIE CURIE IN EDINBURGH

Date Published:

The Marie Curie hospice in Edinburgh recently suffered severe damage to their site due to a major flooding incident.

Marie Curie is the leading charity providing care to people with any terminal illness in their own homes or in one of its nine hospices. The charity is also a leader in research into the best ways of caring for people with a terminal illness.

The Edinburgh hospice opened its doors in 1966.

As our national charity partner, SPAR Scotland clearly wanted to help with a donation.  Our £1,000 will go towards replacing lost and damaged furniture within the hospice.

Jim Stewart Community Fundraiser at Marie Curie said: “We very much appreciate this donation from CJ Lang & Son Ltd that will go towards helping to repair damage caused by recent flooding at the Marie Curie Hospice, Edinburgh. SPAR Scotland is one of Marie Curie’s long term corporate partners and has been an amazing supporter of the work of the charity over many years.”
