SPAR SCOTLAND LAUNCHES NEW RANGE OF SOFT FRUIT WITH CASTLETON FRUIT

Scottish soft fruit growers Castleton Fruit will supply all SPAR stores in Scotland with soft fruit for the 2019 season.

Based at Castleton Farm in Fordoun, Aberdeenshire, this family business has been farming soft fruit since 1992.

Supply to SPAR stores begins this April with fresh strawberry and raspberry punnets being made available to every store. Other soft fruit coming during the summer will be blueberries, blackberries and cherries.
 
Stewart Ferguson, SPAR Scotland Trading Manager said:  “We are delighted to be working with a family business based in Scotland, which is also very close to our depot in Dundee. Castleton Farm produce very high quality berries that we know our customers are going to enjoy throughout the season.

“Castleton Farm raspberries and strawberries are already available in SPAR stores in Scotland and more soft fruits will be available right through until November.

“Working in partnership with this new supplier means we are bringing the best quality soft fruit to all SPAR stores across Scotland and this is great for our business.”

Punnets will be priced at £2.20 each or two punnets for £4.00.
