SPAR SCOTLAND PARTNERSHIP GIVES THE EXTRA KICK

As part of the exciting new partnership between SPAR Scotland and the Scottish Women’s National Team (SWNT), a range of produce has been delivered to Hampden Park Stadium.

The delivery of a range of items included peanut butter, teabags and porridge to help give the squad an extra kick of energy ahead of the Women’s World Cup in France this summer.

Colin McLean, CEO of SPAR Scotland, was on site at Hampden to proudly hand over the goods. He said: “We are delighted to be providing these products, including some of our own SPAR brand to the SWNT.

“We wish them all the very best ahead of their departure for France.”

Earlier this year the Scottish FA announced the wholesaler as a new sponsor of the SWNT. The deal came as the momentum builds towards the squad’s departure for France in June.

Scotland Women’s National Team head coach Shelley Kerr said: “We are extremely proud to have SPAR as an official partner of the women’s national team and are grateful for their backing ahead of our first ever FIFA Women’s World Cup.

“Since we qualified, we have worked hard to ensure we create the best performance environment for our players.

“A huge part of that is nutrition and it is great that SPAR have been able to provide us with a wide range of produce which will help the players on the field.”

The 12 month deal with the Scottish Football Association (SFA) saw SPAR Scotland become an official partner with the SWNT. To support this big year for the team, all 300 SPAR stores are joining in the exciting campaign.
