RETAILER BRINGS SECOND FILLING STATION INTO SPAR PORTFOLIO OF OUTLETS

Retailer Shyam Karthikeyan who owns Blackpark Filling Station has recently converted a second site to SPAR. The site, owned by Shyam since 2016 lies 14 miles south of Inverness. Both sites (Blackpark and Muir of Ord) are situated on the famous North Coast 500 route.
The development at Muir of Ord is a 1,800sq ft licensed forecourt offering hot food, freshly prepared sandwiches and fresh coffee that is specially roasted for the station from Inverness Coffee Roasting Company. There is also a Post Office on site, Whippy ice cream, lottery, a car wash and Calor gas deliveries.
The store also stocks an excellent range of malt whiskies, gins, and local craft beers from the Cromarty & Black Isle Brewing companies. There’s also a good range of local products from Harry Gow, Deas Bakery and the Black Isle Dairy.
Conversion to a SPAR outlet has seen the installation of F’real and Blue Ice Slush as well as a new chiller that has allowed the chilled foods range to be extended to 5 metres.
Kelly Mackenzie, the Store Manager at Muir of Ord said: “I’m delighted we have joined SPAR again. The service from this family business has been excellent. The staff across all departments are very friendly and helpful.”
